Closes in front with a double row of covered buttons. • Matching Linen Blend Hat with scalloped brim decorated with embroidered bias appliques, buds and leaves embroidery, and linen blend roses. Lined in silk. • Dropped Waist Dress in silk with embroidered netting overlay. It has 3/4 gathered sleeves, and a scalloped peplum. Hand beaded with seed beads and "pearls". Closes in back with concealed snaps. • Matching linen blend Hair Tie. • A Note On American Girl Sizes: Doll collectors are aware that there are differences in size between the pre-Mattel dolls and the new line of dolls, but I have found that the waist size of the new dolls varies widely, even for dolls of the same "model". My Samantha has a 10½" waist.
